Gamblers's Family members Go Back

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

Dear Mrs. Lai's son,

Thanks for your appreciation towards Miss Chow's counseling work and the service provided by our Center.

In fact, your mother's change also gives us the courage to keep on helping those who are still poppling into the sea of gambling.

We do appreciate your mother's courage to share and face the gambling problem and resume her role as a responsible and capable mother.

This transformation is also a result of your endurance and never give-up attitude.

Wish you Merry Christmas and Happy Family!

Yours,
Joe Tang Supervisor

Dear Miss Chow and all social workers of CAGCC,

How do you do? Wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My mother has improved quite a lot after Miss Chow's counseling service for almost one year. I would like to express my gratitude towards Miss Chow's persistence and guidance. All social workers' care and concern also play a very important role in accelerating my mother's improvement.

On the other hand, I am also inspired by the interaction of the group members to prompt each other especially from the case embodiment.

My father and sister are also benefited from your Center to enrich some knowledge to share with the group members.

Now we win back warmth again in the family and satisfy with our mother's improvement. We would like to express our gratitude here.

At last, we also praise mother's courage to receive your service so as to step on the bright road again.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all to have a smooth going and healthy life in the coming year!

Yours,
Mrs. Lai's son

Dear all of CAGCC,

How do you do?

I am the son of your client - Mrs. Lai. I accompanied my mother to your Center to ask for help in April last year. We are grateful to Miss Chow's interview and assistance!

My mother was afraid to go to the Center last year and now she is eager to participate in the activities organized by the Center. She has changed from a self-centered housewife to a public-consciously-minded common citizen and from a problem gambler to a responsible and capable mother. These all result from your staff's guidance, reminder and consolation.

Frankly speaking, I am not sure about your way and the function of grouping some gamblers together at first. Later, I find it is workable. They are grouped together and share their ways and experiences of getting in and out of the gambling problems. This reflection makes them to be alert all the time afterwards.

Thanks for your staff and the group mates for their endless toleration and acceptance so that my mother can return to the right track again and get rid of the gambling enticements. She is not versed in speech but tries her best to prepare some snacks to you all. Please give her some praises and encouragements if appropriate.

Finally, I do hope that your Center will have outstanding performance and the former gamblers have a definite aim of life and get rid of the gambling enticements for good.

Yours,
Mrs. Lai's son
